Environmental Industry: Water Treatment System
A major US wastewater treatment company engaged USPRI’s services to distribute its Electrcocoagulation (EC) water treatment system in China. USPRI’s network in China and strong technical knowledge of the product enabled it to effectively market the treatment system throughout the county.
Among the projects USPRI has secured are:
- The installation of the EC system at a State-Owned factory with an annual gross income of more than $1 billion, that was at risk of being closed due to the high levels of heavy metals it was emitting into the local water supply. This pollution affected millions of people within the city of Changsha in Hunan Province. After installing the EC system, the factory reduced the amount of heavy metals it emitted by almost 99%. This reduction earned the factory the highest water pollution emission standard from the Chinese government and allowed it to remain open. - USPRI successfully marketed and sold the EC system to electroplating factories in Beijing and Jiangsu Province. After the EC system was installed, each factory lessened the amount of sludge they produced by 45%, reduced their water treatment costs and increased their water conservation. These improvements allowed these companies to receive the highest water pollution emission standard from the Chinese government.
- In Hunan Province, USPRI marketed and sold the EC system to a castor factory. Once installed, the EC system stabilized the water that the factory was emitting and earned it the highest water pollution emission standard from the Chinese government.
Manufacturing Industry: Product Sourcing
A large US dredge company sought USPRI’s assistance sourcing pipes from China. USPRI's staff worked with the company through each step of contract purchase negotiation from production to third party quality inspection to shipping. USPRI’s cultural knowledge and communication skills ensured that the entire contract process was completed smoothly and efficiently. Due to USPRI’s efforts, the company signed a contract worth $400,000 and successfully completed its dredging project.
Educational Programs: Student Recruitment
A leading law school engaged USPRI’s services to recruit Chinese students to its LL.M. program. In order to attract students USPRI established relationships with approximately 400 recruiting agents throughout China. Based on the law school’s marketing materials, USPRI designed, printed and distributed a program promotion leaflet about the law school in Chinese. At several large regional educational exhibitions, USPRI represented and promoted the law school. USPRI also arranged applicant interviews and meetings with recruiters in Shanghai and Beijing for a visiting law school professor. USPRI has increased enrollment numbers each year it worked with the law school.
